Abstract We consider the high spin expansion for null geodesics in Kerr spacetime. expand geodesic equation successively to higher orders deviation from extremality. Via method of matched asymptotic expansion, radial integrals are obtained analytically. It turns out that analytic expressions very sensitive value shifted Carter constant q . show a large , can be used study observational electromagnetic signatures astrophysical black holes like M87 * However, small only applied (near-) extreme holes.
